Female-Musician.com is a place for women who play instruments from the past and present to be highlighted. If you’re a woman who plays an instrument or are a vocalist, I’ll create a FREE listing for you that includes a few contact links and some descriptive words you’d like to include about yourself. See the “Female Musicians’ Directory” page for more details. Plus, I’ll include a video to highlight you or your band if you've uploaded one onto YouTube. I’ll include the video within my YouTube Channel inside the section “Featured Female Instrumentalists”. Why do I do this? Well, I am a female bass player and a vocalist. I'm very passionate about building Female-Musician.com and am having a ball seeing it through to its success! I don't consider myself a promoter or an agent. I do consider myself a connector, and Female-Musician.com to be a way to help connect-the-dots by presenting valuable resources within the website. I've learned so much as I've been building it, and I want the services and information I can provide to increase the site's value for all its visitors.
Female-musician.com welcomes female vocalist, Ella Woods, to the Female Musicians’ Directory! Ella is a professional vocalist and the leader of the group in Europe, called "The Magic Platters" listed with the Agency Etoile-Productions.be. You can find her CD entitled Ella Sings Ella on . Go to the Female Musicians’ Directory to connect with Ella through her listing! You can also visit Ella's site at www.ellawoods.net.
Anna Gilbert is an award winning American singer-songwriter and pianist born and raised in Oregon. She has self-produced two albums, and her third album is produced by Grammy Award winner Charlie Peacock. Her latest EP "Like a River" is produced by Sam Ashworth. Find Anna Gilbert's music at Amazon.com and her latest EP "Like a River" on and Cdbaby. See Anna's listing and video of her performances within "Female Musicians' Directory" right now!
Tovia is one of the funkiest female drummers out there, and I'm honored to have her listing inside the Female Musicians' Directory! She's the former drummer for "Johnny Guitar Watson". Tovia can also be found performing with "JGW" on "The Dream of Dr King". This is a dream come true for her and her now passed-on mentor. This single collabortion is released to share with the world, and is released for NON-PROFIT purposes to give back to various foundations. You can get your copy at DigStation.com. See Tovia's listing and some of her performances "Female Musicians' Directory".
I couldn't believe it when I was contacted by Szabina Vradi from International Musicians all the way from Hungary, Europe requesting to be listed within the site! She manages a number of orchestras of talented and versatile musicians whose performances can be seen at www.internationalmusicians.eu. Eventhough I currently don't have a full page devoted to "Band Booking Agencies Overseas", I have listed them in the section titled "Nationwide, Worldwide or Multiple Locations" on the "Band Booking Agencies in the U.S.A." page for the time being. I'm sure the new overseas booking agency page is on the way!
Like I mentioned earlier, I never imagined myself as a "blogger" before, but my, oh my, how things change! You can see it at http://female-musician.blogspot.com/. In it, I'll be able to go more in detail about many of the resources you can find inside of Female-Musician.com. I'll also be talking about things you won't find in the website. Plus, you can feel free to leave your comments about any of the posts you find there. I hope the blog will be a place where each one can reach one, and each one can teach one. Mostly, I want it to be a lot of fun to check out and always have some entertaining and helpful information for you.
Be sure to take a look at the free classified ad section within the website! If you're a female musician, you can post what's going on with you under "Female Musicians Available". If you're looking for a female musician, you can post your ad under "Female Musicians Wanted". Currently, the listings expire in 30 days. The information you can put in there is pretty liberal such as URL's and images, but I definitely ask you to keep your content clean or be subject to deletion of the post.
I'd love it if you would pass the word about my site to any female musician out there you know who's like to be highlighted in THE place that makes sense...Female-Musician.com! Don't worry. I'm not gonna be sharing or selling your information to anybody else or using it for other than its intended purposes. I'd get in trouble if I did that! And I'm definitely in this for the long-haul on this one! :-) Email
